Indian Carnival

Indian CarnivalDuring the 1930s, as part of the St. Anne’s Day festivities on July 26th, the Mi’kmaq of this area held “Indian Carnivals”. These colourful pageants drew hundreds of spectators to see the traditional dress and dances of our people.
