Delicious
and flavourful foods, from land and sea, have always been a part of the
Mi’kmaw culture of this area. From the land our people hunted game
animals such as deer, rabbits, and also gathered wild vegetables and
nuts. The Bay of Fundy, and the waters connected to it, yielded a
variety of fish and shellfish such as lobster, scallops, salmon and
clams.
Experience
nature’s bounty by enjoying a traditional Mi’kmaw dinner served at the
Centre. Venison roast with cranberry-maple sauce, Atlantic salmon, wild
and white rice, root vegetables, seasonal greens, Bay of Fundy seafood
chowder, traditional Mi'kmaq bread, and blueberry fungi and are just
some of the mouthwatering
delights that await you.
May not yet be availabe at all times. Please contact the Centre for more information.
